Medeco Introduces Access Interface Module (AIM) at ASIS
Control Almost Anything with a Medeco XT Intelligent Key

Salem, Va. (September 12, 2016) Medeco Security Locks, a division of ASSA ABLOY N.A., located in Salem, Va., will introduce the new Medeco XT Access Interface Module—known as “AIM”—at the ASIS International 62nd Annual Seminar and Exhibits show September 12-15 in Orlando, Fl.

The Medeco XT AIM module is a smart addition to the Medeco XT Intelligent Key System. “This new interface module allows the user to insert their XT key to trigger actions in other systems, using both authorized and unauthorized event conditions,” said Gene Cronin, Medeco XT and Aperio product line manager.

With AIM, you can:

  • Unlock Doors with electric strike or maglock
  • Initiate Video Cameras
  • Bring attention to unauthorized events by triggering Access Control or Alarm Panels

The AIM module also:

  • Interfaces with any system that can accept a dry contact (NO/NC)
  • Greatly enhances the capability of the XT Intelligent Key System
  • Key audit tracks events just like an XT cylinder
  • Two-person authentication option
  • Can be powered by an XT key or 12-24V Power Supply (depends on AIM connection)
